SolarPACES (Solar Power and Chemical Energy Systems) is pleased to announce the upcoming SolarPACES 2018 conference to be held from October 02 – 05, 2018 in Casablanca, Morocco.

It will again offer a scientific and technical conference program that provides an opportunity for industry, research, political and financing stakeholders and experts around the world to gather and share insights into recent R&D activities and new developments in CSP technology with a focus on development, marketing and commercialization.

Do not miss the Workshop “Water Consumption Management in CSP Plant”  on 3rd October 2018
organised by the CSP project WASCOP! 

As a SolaPACES side-event, this workshop will provide the opportunity for researchers, policy makers and CSP industrial stakeholders to deepen their knowledge and be informed about the latest and future developments of the innovative solutions in the Water Consumption Management in CSP plants. The workshop will address water consumption management as well as cooling and cleaning solutions for the water management in CSP plants. Three projects will present their latest developments: WASCOP, SOLWATT and MinWaterCSP.

MinWaterCSP will contribute to the workshop with the following three presentations:

  • Shahab Rohani, Fraunhofer ISE (MinWaterCSP), Modelling and Simulation of Water Use and Treatment in CSP Plants
  • Speaker tbc (MinWaterCSP), Strategies for Water Saving and Influence of Water Treatment Concepts in CSP-Plants
  • Ahmed Alami Merrouni, IRESEN (MinWaterCSP), Solar mirrors Soiling detection using night time image processing method
